John Pils was born in 1939 in New York City, NY. John attended the New Your School of Design and started a career of interior design and then retail store design. Following his career around the United States, John and his family ended up in St. Louis in 1978 and would call this city his home.

Since making St. Louis his home, John has created over a hundred different graphics of St. Louis and around the world. His art has been customized for corporate gifts, schools and organizations.
